Team ELITE finished 7-1 and defeated the Minnesota Blades 3-1 in the finals to win the 89-90 Prospects Tournament. Michael
Clemente (NTDP) and Erick Cinotti were solid in goal and Nick Geraci lead the tournament in scoring with twelve points. CJ
Lee and Kyle Bonis were also big point contributors. The tournament brought out all the USHL coaches and scouts to see the
future of their league all under one roof. The weekend showed that the top 89-90 talent is in the Atlantic District. Bob Turow
(USHL Central Scouting) was quoted saying that "the ELITE's are the favorite to win the tournament and that the victory shows
that the Atlantic District had a lot of high end players that will draw a lot of interest in the USHL." As a team, this was
an exceptional group that created a lot of offense and shut down teams with their defensive play and goaltending.
Dear Prospect,
Elite Prospects is a team built on promoting and developing players to the next level.
Most of you have been rated and scouted by the USHL Central Scouting Bureau because we think you have the potential to play
in the USHL one day. The Prospects Tournament is the number one tournament in North America for exposure to the USHL, OHL,
NCAA, and NHL scouts and coaches.
Last year, our ’89 Elite Team finished in second place out of forty teams
at the Prospects Tournament, providing an opportunity for many players the exposure needed to proceed onto the next level.
The goal of Elite Prospects and USHL Central Scouting is to develop and promote the top players available. Past Elite players
include:
