The 87-89 Elite teams were a complete success this past weekend at the Prospects tournament in Toronto. Elite Silver had the
most success of the teams because of its great run into the semi finals of the tournament finishing 6-1-1. The team was lead
by goaltender Randy Wolcott (Avon) who was the top goalie in the tournament. Michael Del Mauro was the total package up front
for the Silver Elite's with his scoring ability, grit, and physical play. Dan Cassano (PAL) lead the way offensively with
7 goals and 1 assist. He finished 11th overall in tournament scoring. Both the Elite Red and Elite Gold teams finished with
2-2 records. Many of the Elite players drew the interest of several NCAA and USHL scouts and coaches. The goal of ELITE is
to get these top players to the next level. After a successful weekend as a whole, alot of these players will get opportunities
they deserve.
