The ELITE 91's put on a great display this past weekend at Prospects in Toronto going 3-1 in the four tournament
games. The boys beat a seasoned Detroit Belle Tire team 4-3 on in OT on a PJ Mccadden (PAL) slapshot just over the blue
line. They then lost on an all round bad game v Pittsburgh Prospects by getting out worked. On Saturday the team redeemed
themselves and showed up ready to work and defeated the Minnesota Blades Maroon 4-2 and in the evening played their best
game of the tournament. The ELITES defeated the Niagra Outlaws, the champion of last year's tournament 3-1 in a penalty filled
game and perhaps the best game of the tournament. USHL Head of scouting and owner of Prospects Bob Turow was quoted saying
that "this was a huge win for the ELITE program and it shows that there is some top talent in the Atlantic district." This
win is among one of the best wins so far in the last two years at Prospects for ELITE and everyone in the building was taking
notice of this game (scouts, agents, and parents). Goaltender Brian Robbins (NJ Rockets) went 3-0 and was in the
top five GAA in the tournament. Tomas Keith (LI GULLS) lead the way offensively with 3-3-6 pts. and finished in the top ten
in scoring and Matt Fallon (CT WOLVES) had a strong weekend offensively and physically. Ben Kravitz (LI ROYALS), Redmond Colson (NJ
DEVILS), and JR Lafferty (PHANTOMS) all were steady on defense. On Sunday the team finished 11th out of 40 teams and played
a strong Blacknights team and were defeated 5-0. Unfortunately the team looked tired from a competatve four tournament
games but if you make it to Sunday, it makes for a very successful weekend which the 91's had.
